China Chemical Industrial Equipment Association (hereinafter refer to as CCIEA) founded in 1989 and registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, is an independent social group with the status of a legal entity. It reports to The State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. CCIEA is a nationwide cross-regional and cross-departmental industry organization formed by entities engaging in chemical engineering machinery and equipment manufacturing, and the related scientific research, design, inspection, teaching, etc. This association is an appraisal evaluation organization authorized by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People’s Republic of China (hereinafter refer to as AQSIQ) to issue administrative permits for special equipment. CCIEA now has over 500 members located in 27 provinces, cities, municipalities all around China and covering 15 fields in chemical industry, petrochemical industry, petroleum, machinery, light industry, medicine, railway, metallurgy, nonferrous metals, shipbuilding industry, aviation, aerospace, electric power, agriculture, education, etc. Members of CCIEA have widely representativeness in the industry and include not only the related subsidiaries of large-scale group companies like CNPC, SINOPEC, CNOOC, CHEMCHINA, etc., large key manufacturers in chemical machinery and equipment industry, engineering companies, design institutes, research institutes, universities and colleges, but also many shareholding enterprises, joint ventures, wholly-owned and private enterprises.
Since its establishment, CCIEA, as approved and authorized by the relevant state departments, has been engaging in appraisal evaluation of the administrative permits for pressure vessel design & manufacture, pressure piping components, etc. in the chemical industry equipment; quality management like development and revision of the relevant national standards and industry standards, etc.; issuance and implementation of regulations and standards; industry planning development; product appraisal; project & technology evaluation; personnel training; domestic & foreign technological and economic exchange.
